What is Carbon Removal?

Carbon removal is the process of removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and locking it away for decades, centuries or longer. This could slow, limit or even reverse climate change. The actual Carbon Removal can be done with several different teqniques. Read more about the methods we support below.

Today there are several ways to do something good for our earth and its climate. Everyone agrees that reducing emissions is measure number 1. But zero is not enough! In order to have a chance to achieve the goals in the Paris Agreement, it is also critical that we reduce emissions that occur both today and have occurred historically. Therefore, we need to invest in carbon removal practices to be able to scale the market so that it can remove 10 billion tonnes of CO2 per year.

This can slow down, stop or even reverse climate change. That is why we have chosen to make climate impact by removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

A major, and for us absolutely crucial, reason why Carbon Removal is the right way to go is that the carbon dioxide is physically taken down from the atmosphere and that it is measurable. In addition, there are a number of different ways to do it, all with different possibilities and potential, and new methods are being developed every day in this dynamic area. Our promise is that we always make sure that our portfolio of different methods contains the best and most promising solutions! To succeed in this, we have taken the help of Removement, Sweden's first platform for Carbon Removal.

Together with you, we can create a brighter future.

The more we code, the more we capture. For. Good. We’re clearing the air about what we like to call coding for “greater good”. For every hour we work, we capture 1 kg of carbon dioxide.

We have collectively captured
